I love spending time with my husband, son and friends. We have two dogs: "R.J." a 5 year-old 220 lb Saint Bernard, "Buddy" a year old Great Pyrenees and last but defiantly not the least, a loving and adorable 2 lb Guinea Pig named "Gracie". (She may be the smallest, but both of the dogs are afraid of her) LOL
I am a collector of Hallmark ornaments as they tell the story of our family. My husband and I started collecting them 19 years ago and as the years have passed, it has become a family tradition as we collect different series’ and carefully choose other ornaments that reflect what has occurred in our family throughout the past year. Each year, we can’t wait until the “Wish Book” comes out so we can be ready for the Ornament Premiere in July. I guess the reason why this is the only thing that I collect is the simple fact that they are not out every day and each Christmas as they each are placed on our tree, it is a time to reflect on the years that we have shared together. Plus, someday when we are all gone they will be passed down throughout the family and as the years pass, our lives will still be told, not in words, but simply in the ornaments that we leave behind.
You can call me sentimental and it would be true, because the simplest things are what mean the most to me as they are the most priceless items in our lives other than those we LOVE.
