This soft lemon truffle-like piece of goodness will have you smacking your lips and begging for more - - calcium, that is!
I received two samples of this product a few weeks ago from Celebrate Vitamins. I had no clue what to expect when I opened the envelope. And, there were two plastic containers with foil on top. When I lifted the foil and removed the lemon calcium bite, I immediately noticed that it was NOT your typical supplement. It was soft, very fresh, with a nice hint of lemon scent.
I bit into the bite, and oh my heavens! It was not chewy at all. It was a melty, smooth sensation on my lips and tongue... it reminded me of my favorite candy in the world... strawberry or rasberry creams. You know how you take a bite, and you can feel the smooth center melting on your tongue, like a fine delicacy piece of candy? That is what I'm talking about! Had the outside been covered with chocolate, I would've sworn it was a lemon cream truffle type of candy which deserved to be in a gorgeous chocolates box with beautiful gold embossing and red ribbons to hold it entact... like something you would get for Valentine's Day!
There is no aftertaste of this product. It's not gritty, doesn't smell or taste like supplements. If you like lemon, and smooth consistencies, you will absolutely love this product. I must forewarn you however, that when I received the actual box of product this week, I had a difficult time getting the foil off the top of the plastic holder. I had to cut it open. Other than that, NO GRIPES from me! What a truly divine and enjoyable way to get my calcium in every day!
What about the stats, you ask? One piece is 40 calories, 6 net carbs, 3 sugars, zero protein. Some of you may want to have this as an occasional treat alongside your usual calcium citrate. IF you can afford the calories though or force it into your budget, these have 500 mg of calcium citrate per piece.
