I'm always on the prowl, looking for a good alternative... Here is yours to the Nestle Crunch bar....
A few weeks ago I rushed into Vitamin Shoppe to see what fabulous deals they had on the sale table. As I approached the checkout (you knew I bought SOMETHING!), my eyes landed just below the register on the shelf. There, it read "Power Crunch". Well, I had never seen this type of label on anything with Po
wer Crunch's name on it! So immediately I snatched up the item and started skimming the nutritional stats. These are chocolate bars, both milk and dark. I decided, "Why not buy a few?" and threw one of each kind on the counter.
Now you know me well enough that as soon as I parked my tuckus on the front seat of my Honda Accord, I already had the wrapper opened, chocolate in hand and lifting it to my lips! When it comes to trying new product, sometimes I don't even wait until I exit the store! As a matter of fact, IF there is an item on sale and I think its a good deal, I will buy one, open it and taste test it on the spot. That way I can take full advantage of the sale. Tim always gets to partake in the taste test also, like it or not... (I think he likes it though).
No joke, these taste like Nestle Crunch bars. I like the milk chocolate best. I handed off the dark chocolate to my mother. I couldn't help but laugh when I opened up her email today: "Good morning. I have been aiming to ask where you got that dark chocolate protein bar that you gave me last week when you were over. That is the first one that I can truly say I liked. Would you pick me up some of them?" There you have it! My mother's first protein product food review... and, it was in keeping with my overall general opinion of the Choklat Power Crunch bars also... only I prefer the milk chocolate!
