This prod
uct is on the top of Melinda's MUST HAVE'S! I tried it earlier this year, and continue making trips to Walmart to purchase more (one as a gift for someone else). I like these garments, and there are three wonderful reasons:
* CHEAP ($6 or $7 each depending on the location)
* USEFUL (they work great
* Easy to care for (toss in washer, air dry)
If you've followed the blog long enough, you know the trouble I've had in finding a shapewear garment that I like. I gave up the notion that there was a magical bodysuit which would nip, tuck, and hide all of my loose skin issues. I wanted ONE bodysuit that had sleeves on it long enough to hide batwings (not for me, as I don't really have that issue) and hidden panels which could suck in the Hoover Dam... well, I guess you could say "not gonna happen" unless by some sweet miracle God shows someone how to make such a garment. (I'm still praying on it).
Anyway... I've tried a variety of shapewear. So perusing the aisles at the good ole Wally World and coming across this box, made me curious yet also hesitant. I didn't want to get my hopes up. After all, WHAT could a $7 garment do for me that a $88 garment did not? I bought it and wore it the next day. Seemed a bit overkill, the long legs. But, I can say that I never want to wear the short legged ones again! Besides, the capri length comes down past the knee and you cannot see a line in your pants like with the shorter legged ones. I got tired of crossing my legs and seeing a ridge midway down between my hips and my knee. The capri length doesn't do this, and THEY ARE WONDERFUL!

Here's the deal. They start in size Medium. In other garments, I need small but the medium fit great. They help hold my tummy in, and cause me to stand up straighter. I can actually wear tshirts and feel comfortable, not wondering about whether people see "the bulge". This makes me feel good, emotionally that is. I have also worn them all summer long. They have helped me stay warm inside my cold workplace. Now don't tell me that you couldn't wear this! I know that you are probably freezing to death all the time like all other wls patients!
These are easy to launder. Just toss in the washer (regular cycle with your other clothes) and then hang them to air dry. If you forget and accidentally put them in the dryer, they will still work but after time, the fabric will ball up and start to break down. BUT remember, they are not expensive to replace! You can even afford to loan one to a friend at just $7 each! In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this shapewear piece. Of the pieces of shapewear in my drawer (and there are MANY), this is my "go to" where underwear style shapewear pieces are concerned.
There is a setback though... don't expect to find this on the internet. I couldn't even find it on L'eggs website! I sent an email to their company wanting to know if they would be listing this. It's a fairly new product, just arriving in stores within the past 8 months if I recall correctly. In fact, I found only one picture of these on Ebay, had to use my camera to take a picture of the monitor as I couldn't copy it! That's the reason for the poor picture quality, but it was very much worthy to be blogged about, and I wanted to pass on the find!
