Let's face it. Gastric bypass patients (or most of us) have loose skin issues... even if we've had plastic surgery of some kind! If we've been obese, every area of our bodies was affected, causing loose skin on the upper, inner thighs, upper inner arms, around the waist (midsection or otherwise).

We face a lot of difficulties and struggles in trying to camoflage or hide the areas that give us such fits.  I've had an abdominoplasty (aka tummy tuck) and the hanging skin from my panni area has been taken. Thank goodness. HOWEVER, I still have loose skin on my midsection tummy area. This has plagued my mind so often... and other plastics procedures to correct it are (a) costly and (b) according to surgeons, only going to minimally correct the problem. So, I've been searching for some time for a control or girdle product that would help. Here are a few I have tried:
  • Waist cinchers (not underwear, but a garment that only goes around the waist). These smoosh all the loose skin up over the top and out the bottom.
  • High waist girdles that come just below the breasts such as Assets. I love Assets. BUT, I desired tight constriction. The lower size tends to work its way down my waist, causing me to pull and tug all day! The next size up tends to not give the support needed or desired. It still fits well and is comfortable, just doesn't provide that "oomph" that I was looking for!
  • Thin spaghetti strap microfiber tops. These do work pretty well and depending on what I choose to wear, are a good choice! But, they do nothing to help upper back fat or loose skin.
  • One piece suits that are somewhat like a bathing suit, only have a bra in them. I have a Flexees that I love with certain formal dresses. However, it is somewhat difficult to maneuver when using the restroom. And, the bra cups are padded and poke out funny.
  • Control underwear that look like briefs, but with a high waist with snaps like a bra to help keep the high tummy in. These do work well, if your shirts are thick or textured material. The outline of the girdle snaps show through your material otherwise. I would like to have a control garment that allows me to wear a thin tshirt, and no one tell I have on a girdle!
